Promoting Interoperability Hardship Exceptions are Now Available
CMS realizes there may be circumstances out of your control that make it difficult to meet requirements for the Promoting Interoperability category. Therefore, they are providing you with the opportunity to apply for a hardship exception. The application for exception is now available on the QPP website’s Exception page.
If you have questions about the hardship exceptions, please refer to the 2019 Exceptions: Frequently Asked Questions document.
Applications must be submitted by December 31, 2019.
Submit Your 2018 Data Now
The QPP data submission period for Year 2 (2018) began on January 2, 2019. You may now log in through the QPP website and upload your data files or attest for Improvement Activities and/or Promoting Interoperability. Data must be submitted by April 2, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. CST to receive credit. You can add and correct data anytime until the submission deadline. For example, if you enter Quality data today, you can attest for Improvement Activities at a later date.
New Log-In System Replaces EIDM for the QPP Website
On December 19, 2018 CMS transitioned to a new system used to create identity management accounts and request access to the QPP website. The previous system, EIDM, has been replaced by HCQIS Access Roles and Profile System (HARP). All users will manage access to the organizations they represent for reporting quality data and viewing their MIPS feedback directly through the QPP website.
If you already had an EIDM account, a HARP account was created for you automatically and you can log in with your EIDM user name and password. We highly recommend testing your login at this time in case troubleshooting is necessary. If you don’t have an EIDM account, you’ll need to register for a HARP account. For a step-by-step guide to signing up for a HARP account, refer to the Register for a HARP Account guide in the QPP Access User Guide (zip).
New QPP Resource Library
CMS has moved all QPP resources to the new resource library at qpp.cms.gov. With the transition to the new resource library CMS added search and filter options. It is now easy to search by keyword, performance year, reporting track, performance category or type of resource. There is also a new section on the QPP website, the webinar library. On this page you will find slides and recordings for past CMS QPP webinars.
